Outdoor Oasis in
German Village

This private oasis in German Village is intimate enough for reading a book in the quiet - and large enough for big gatherings. Once an empty corner lot, except for the historic house at the street end, it now has needed privacy and the neighborhood has a lovely perimeter landscaping to enjoy.

Greens and whites are the plant color scheme in this garden, designed by Jacobs Grant Design ltd - color comes from planter pots spilling over with annuals placed throughout the landscape.

This pergola was designed by Jacobs Grant Design ltd to connect the driveway to the house without feeling like it was cutting the patio space into pieces. Instead it is a unifying element, tying all of the outdoor spaces together.

An eye for detail makes all the difference.

Located in the center of the Columbus Metro area, this garden is the center of calm for this family. The design process with Jacobs Grant Design ltd included a detailed discussion about what the family needed, including that the space needed to flow as a whole but for each ‘room’ to have its own feel and coziness. From the inside of the house there is always an open invitation to come outside.

The major home renovation architect was designed by William Hugus Architects Ltd.
