This entire property has been altered - including most of the grades. Instead of the entry driveway aiming towards the house in a straight line along the top ridge edge of the property, it enters and swoops down for a drop off right at the front door, barely being noticed in the views from the house.

A pathway invites you to take a garden walk. The driveway loop is barely noticed because of the shape of the grade, all of which was designed by Jacobs Grant Design ltd.

The edge of the driveway becomes an opportunity for soft plantings that make it feel more like a part of a garden walkway than a driveway. A fountain is tucked into a side-entry courtyard.

From the large sweep of the lawn to the smallest detail of the fountain court, Jacobs Grant Design ltd worked with the homeowner to capture their style.

Every plant selection and location was coordinated with the owners.

Plant materials with seasonal color, texture, aroma, variety, were selected carefully for each area’s microclimate of sun/shade, wind, and all had to be deer resistant.

The owners loved the idea of using Belgian block in the lower area and the idea fit perfectly.

The design process included conceptualized design and detailed site plans and details for the overall property as well as each detailed area. Regular site visits to the site by Jacobs Grant Design ltd during the construction process were made to give design input and feedback to every area of the property.
